Rear fuel tank strap that holds the fuel tank in position failed. In 2003 ford had a recall on this truck to install safety straps around the fuel tank in case there was a failure of the main straps. When the rear strap failed the safety strap failed and the only thing holding the tank in the truck was the fuel line.
